What matters in the end?

Every human is unique. All of us have aspirations. Importantly, most of us view life as a series of targets. But, is everything worth the stress?

I just wanted to share some insights on life. The year 2020 is nothing as we expected. In fact, it took a wrong turn due to the global pandemic. Subsequently, all the modern economies took a hit. But, have you wondered about the system we made?

I reckon life is too short. We live in moments and not in days. As children, we are taught to devote ourselves to academics. ‘Get good grades and life becomes simple!’ Further, we go to college and hope that the course justifies our commitments.

As we graduate or post-graduate, the vicious circle of job life comes into existence. On the contrary, some are indulged in business activities. All in all, we find ourselves in a loop. A loop created by our ancestors to fulfil man-made aspirations.

I can quote a line of the ‘Twenty One Pilots’ song- ‘Stressed out’. It goes as follows:

‘Used to dream of outer space but now they’re laughing at our face
Saying, “Wake up, you need to make money. "’
Really, majority of the human population is indulged in this task. The question is, how much do we need to delve in?

Don’t get me wrong. I am not at all against making money. In fact, since we created this system based on money, it is vital. You cannot just live without money, as eventually, you got to buy food to survive. Furthermore, your economical stability can help you think about the philosophical side of life. The question is, jeopardising passions and interests for the sake of money, now is this really how we want to live?

These questions won’t concern the people who have to support their families. Perhaps they are just unlucky to be on a less fortunate side of the curve. However, people who have a certain amount of stability can definitely think about this.

Hence, it is crucial to think- What matters in the end? Do you want to live a life like robots and sacrifice all that you liked? Just for the sake of buying materialistic possessions? Or, do you want to move a step ahead of the curve.

Because, life ends too soon. At the end, you won’t recall your fancy cars and vacant acres of plots. In reality, if you are lucky enough to recall things, you will find joy in those little moments.

Those moments when you took part in your school festival, when you helped someone in college, when you said ‘NO’ to a mundane job, when you took a stand. In fact, these are the moments which will make you proud.

Guys, just note something important. Life’s too short to hold a grudge or keep on rushing. So, live in the moment. Because, mental peace and satisfaction are the only things which matter in the end. Be satisfied, don’t regret. Keep on enhancing your personality. And, enjoy when you can.
